This is because, after the rain, the environment has the optimal conditions for the female frogs to lay their eggs in fresh bodies of water. They also just prefer a darker and wetter environment.

Another fun fact is the louder the call the better. Female frogs perceive the male frogs that can call loudly as larger and stronger. This gives them a better chance of being able to attract the female frogs.

This is an off-limits place now, after being recognized as one of the most dangerous places in the world, only a few scientists and researchers can go to the island.
