2. Frog Calls During Mating Season

Have you ever heard frogs being very vocal during the rainy season? This is most likely their mating call and not just random noises they like to make to annoy you.
This is because, after the rain, the environment has the optimal conditions for the female frogs to lay their eggs in fresh bodies of water. They also just prefer a darker and wetter environment.
Another fun fact is the louder the call the better. Female frogs perceive the male frogs that can call loudly as larger and stronger. This gives them a better chance of being able to attract the female frogs.

3. Monaco’s Dense Population

One of the most popular Formula 1 racing cities Monaco is actually a country. However many people mistake it for that because of how small it is. With about 25,000 people per square kilometer, this tiny nation is actually is the most densely populated country.
Despite these many people, the country is packed with luxury and high-rise buildings costing millions to rent or buy. You will also most likely meet a celebrity in this country by just walking around the downtown area.

4. Sea Turtles’ Navigational Ability

Do you know that sea turtles often return to the beach where they were born, but this time to lay their own eggs? How crazy Is that?
They leave that beach and then explore the ocean swimming thousands of kilometers in their lifetime, before finally going back to the same exact place. Scientists still are not sure about the precise mechanics of how this mystery works.
They, however, know that it is most probably because sea turtles follow the Earth’s magnetic field, leading them back to the place where they began their journey.

Did you know that despite how many airplanes we have on air at any given time shipping our products, it is still actually the ships that deliver approximately 90% of all world trade? And the biggest shipper of all the countries is China.
With 7 of the 10 largest ports in the whole world located within the country, they play a massive role in global commerce. They also have the best and fastest shipbuilding capabilities out of everyone, better than the USA and Japan.

6. Snake Island – A Deadly Destination

If you are scared of snakes, (aren’t everyone?), do not visit this island! Ilha da Queimada Grande, the snake island, lies off the coast of Brazil and is home to an estimated 4,000 venomous snakes.
Fun fact is they actually thought it has about 400,000 snakes on the island but the reality and recent studies came out with a much lower count. This is an off-limits place now, after being recognized as one of the most dangerous places in the world, only a few scientists and researchers can go to the island.

7. Rolls-Royce Customization

Did you know that one of the most luxurious cars in the world, Rolls-Royce, actually does not build the same exact car compared to the rest of its competitors?
Some other manufacturers followed Henry Ford’s lead with having the assembly line and creating their cars as efficiently as possible. This remains true even for the other luxury brands. But Rolls-Royce heavily markets their personalization with nearly every detail of the car such as the paint color to internal materials.

8. Kyrgyzstan’s Distance from Oceans

Kyrgyzstan is the most landlocked country in the world. This means that it is the farthest away from any ocean, with the nearest one being the Indian Ocean, which is still over 8,000 km away.

10. The Sun’s Deafening Roar

Do you know that the sun constantly emits powerful magnetic storms and bursts of energy that only if the sound can travel through space, that we will all already be deaf from the extreme level of noise it can generate?

There is a really popular story about crows being smart enough to use rocks to be able to drink water from a glass even if it is not full. They will put heavy rocks that they can lift inside the glass to be able to reach the water.
This story is actually based on Aesop’s fables which are thousands of years old, which means even then, they recognized just how smart crows are. Nowadays, there should be tens of videos of crows doing exactly this on YouTube or TikTok.
