Have you ever thought that you would be able to spend some time away from our planet for your vacation? In a nice cozy hotel, just outside of Earth. Because that is what the future may hold, and the world’s first space hotel is now under construction, set to open in 2027.
What Is Voyager Station?
The Voyager Station is the world’s first space hotel, currently being built to fly just outside of Earth but still within its orbit. The architects and engineers designed it to spin to create gravity, which is why it is shaped like a ring instead of a spaceship you used to see in movies.

The company building this space hotel is Above: Space Development Corporation. Their goal is to create a luxurious hotel that can accommodate up to 400 guests. So, what do you think it will be like staying there?

What Will the Hotel Be Like?
The corporation building the Voyager station wants it to feel just like any other luxury hotel, with the main difference being, is that it is floating in space. So, most of the amenities in any 4 to 5-star hotels will be in here, including restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, and even a concert space.
The plan for the rooms is to create small ones for guests planning to stay in just a short time, and large villas that will be sold like a vacation home, for people who want to own a house in space someday. Do you think you will ever buy one if you can in the future?

What Will It Feel Like to Stay There?

Since the hotel spins, just like our planet does, it will create a gravity that is almost similar to Earth’s. This means guests can walk, sleep, eat, and shower normally.
The company building it also plans to include a low-gravity area for fun and recreation. You will be able to play some sports like basketball, trampolining, and even rock climbing, all under a lower gravitational condition. They might also install a swimming pool in this area of the space hotel.
Overall, it will really look and feel like a luxury hotel but with the additional experience of space, which includes low gravity in some fields, and the majestic space view of our own planet.
How Much Will It Cost?
You can probably guess it by now, but the cost of this experience will most likely only be available to the richest of the rich, since it is estimated that a 3.5-day trip can cost around $5 million. This will be the case at the beginning, but just like most other human inventions, after technology catches up, it will be more affordable to the public.
Additionally, staying and going up there in space is no small thing, even if you are just planning a vacation. All guest will probably be required to undergo some special training to help them prepare for the trip and their stay.
